What is Sewage pump ?

Submersible sewage pump is type of centrifugal pumps. Sewage pump is a rotating equipment to move solids and liquid from one place to another in sewer system. Sewage pump is engineered & designed for handling solids and liquids without clogging the pump. Motor of sewage pumps are designed and engineered at lower speed to generate maximum torque so that it can handle heavy and untreated sludge/sewer from the environment. In age old conventional method all sewage use to pass through gravity to the septic tank which was based at lower level of the community grounds, and the sewage pump used to be fixed at the bottom level of septic tank to move untreated/ raw/ sewage/ sewer from the tank to another designated point. As per survey it is estimated that sewage industry will go by 6.5CAGR by 2031. Due to ever changing topography of every country/ region and urbanization of all the cities sewage pump is the need of the hour for pumping industry as well as humanity.

Construction of Sewage pump

Sewage pumps are constructed in Cast Iron body which are best suitable for working in fluid PH values ranging in 6-9PH which helps pumps from any kind of corrosion. Generally, pumps are selected based on the PH values and accordingly pumps are manufactured. Sewage pumps comes with different impeller type according to their uses. Sewage pumps have option of using channel impeller, vortex impeller according to the nature of fluid to be pumped. Channel impeller are the best impellers working against raw, untreated sewer with bigger solid handling capacity. Sewage pumps have bigger solids handling capacities which is why they are preferred for various dirty job, where one is not sure what material he will be pumping. Sewage pumps are available in portable & permanent installations. Permanent installations are preferred with discharge connection, sliding bracket, guide rail which helps pump in easy handling and overhauling process.
